Announcement bar

The Announcement bar is the slim band across the very top of every page, ideal for shipping offers or promos. It sits in the header group at the top of the theme editor, directly above the Header. This page covers every announcement-bar setting.

Open the Announcement section in the Header group of the editor.

Link	Makes the message a clickable link. Only shown when there is announcement text.	Empty
Show on mobile	Whether the bar appears on small screens. Turn off to show it only on tablet/desktop.	On
Allow visitors to dismiss	Adds a close button so shoppers can hide the bar. Dismissal is remembered in their browser so it stays hidden on later visits.	On

Note

The Allow visitors to dismiss toggle is on in Torquex’s default header configuration, so a fresh install ships with the close button enabled. (The bare section default is off, but the theme’s packaged header group turns it on.) Turn it off if you want the bar to always stay visible.

Tip

For a longer or rotating promotional message, you can also add a Marquee or Promo strip to the header area.
