One sentence, set large, ruled off from the page above and below. There are no blocks. The whole section is the line, a label above it, and a signature under it.
What it does: Gives the store somewhere to say what it stands for, in its own voice, without dressing it up as a product pitch. It is a band of quiet between two busy sections.
Key settings (the whole section):
| Setting | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Color scheme | Section colors. It arrives on the dark scheme, which is what makes it read as a pause in a pale page. | scheme-night |
| Heading width | Narrow, Normal, Wide, or Full width. | Normal |
| Heading alignment | Left, center, or right. | Center |
| Subheading | The small label. | ”The house line” |
| Quote | The line itself. Italicize part of it and the theme prints that part in the emphasis font and the accent color, which is how the two halves of a line are told apart. | ”Make less. Mend the rest.” |
| Signature | The small line under the quote. It says who is speaking, and since when. | ”The house, since 2019” |
| Layout | Centered sets everything on one axis. Stacked runs label, quote and signature straight down. Staggered offsets the label to one edge and the signature to the other. | Staggered |
| Quote size | Medium, Large, or Display. | Large |
| Divider lines | None, Above, Below, or Above and below. | Above and below |
The section also carries a Section spacing group. Pick a Device of Desktop or Mobile, then set Top and Bottom padding from 0 to 200px. Desktop starts at 96px and mobile at 56px.
When to use it: Use it between two heavy sections, where the page needs air and the store needs a position. For a quote from somebody else, use Press quote. For quotes from customers, use Customer quotes. For the same idea moving sideways, use Scrolling text.
