Modals
Found under Theme settings → Modals.
A modal in Lapels is a dialog that takes over the screen: the product image viewer, the full-size view a product photograph opens into, the age check overlay, and the dialog on the storefront password page. They share one scheme because a shopper meets them in the same session and there is no reason for them to be three different pieces of furniture.
| Setting | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Color scheme | The colors behind the image viewer and the other dialogs, taken from one of your saved color schemes. | scheme-night |
| Blur background | Blurs the dimmed page behind an open dialog. | On |
The dark default is deliberate: an image viewer is for looking at a garment, and a dark ground stops the page’s own paper color competing with the photograph.
Blur background applies to the dimmed backdrop of every dialog the theme opens, drawers included. Turn it off and the backdrop stays dimmed, but the page behind it reads sharp. It is worth switching off if you are testing on older hardware, since a blurred backdrop is the more expensive of the two to paint.
